Tailing Red Push Poles
What they are made of:
Each push pole is constructed by starting with a 16’ fiberglass blank. The push pole is very light weight yet flexible and strong. Then we insert the super durable UHMW foot and hand piece in the open ends using fast hardening 2 part epoxy glue. After the ends are in place and the epoxy glue is set, we cover the push pole with a commercial grade polyolefin wrap. If you don't want the push pole wrapped, the yellow fiberglass makes if very visable if it falls our of your flats boat!
Why do we wrap it?
Although the push pole works great without wrapping; wrapping the push pole serves several purposes.
1. The wrap is dark brown in color and helps camouflage the push pole for hunting applications.
2. The wrap protects the push pole from splintering that could be caused by abuse or prolonged exposure to the sun’s ultraviolet rays.
3. The wrap makes it easier to clean mud and dirt from push pole.
4. The wrap is non marking for fiberglass bay boats.

Because it is so flexible and strong, when you are push poling a boat and the push pole begins to bow when force is applied, the memory of the push pole opposing the force actually pushes back and helps you move the boat in the desired direction.
